Hours of Preparation; Days of Anticipation; 30 Seconds of Exhilaration!

Yea, I know what you are thinking.  And no, that’s not what we are talking about here.  We ARE talking about truck and tractor pulling.

Once again, it’s the Florida Winter Nationals.  The weather has been beautiful, the competition stiff.  Which means there are literally hundreds of people spending hours and even days getting their tractor ready, the truck, the trailer (the wife, the husband, the dog and so on.)  All of us are spending lots of money and lots of time in hopes of making a good showing among our competitors and our friends.

Which has me thinking.  We always see the pictures at the track.  Great pictures.  Coming down the track, front wheels off the ground, driver fully focused on hitting just the right the spots.

But what about the other pictures.  You know, getting the tractor or truck ready.  Getting the track dressed down just right.  Putting up the banners, cooking the BBQ.  Loading the kids, that flat tire on the way, the broken parts.  You know, the thrill of victory!  The agony of defeat.

We are setting up a special pictures section on the website to post your best “Getting Ready,” “Getting Home” or “Working the Track” pictures.  Help me out here.  Send me your pictures, tell me what you want the caption to say and we will post them up.

Here’s some examples:  http://flpullers.com/index.php/pictures/the_rest_of_the_story/

Let’s tell the WHOLE story about tractor pulling.  It will be fun.  And for some, it really will be informative.  I can’t wait to get your photos.  Send them to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
